| There are a number of charming suites and roomy apartments that sleep from 2 to 6 people. The architectural style typical of the Chianti region, with natural stone, beams on the ceiling and floors paved with “cotto” tiles.
Borgo Casa al Vento is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards: our Chianti wines and extra virgin olive oils are our main products, all available for purchase.
Guests of Borgo Casa al Vento have exclusive access to the swimming pool: it is located in a panoramic position, surrounded by wooded hillsides, offering a unique view over Chianti landscape.
Some of the authentic Tuscan meals are served in the ancient wine cellar: here breakfast and dinner are served in a simple yet refined atmosphere. If you prefer you can cook your own meal in our barbecue area.
There is a fishing lake in the park, complete with fountain, water works, goats, ducks, swans and hens. Here you can relax enjoying the warm sun and the beauty of landscape.

By car:
from Florence or Rome: Take A1 Highway (Milano-Napoli), exit at Valdarno and follow directions to Montevarchi and then take the road s.s.408 to Siena or Gaiole in Chianti. From the village of Gaiole in Chianti follow the directions for "Borgo Casa al Vento" and Barbischio. Before entering the hamlet of Barbischio, turn right and then follow the road for 1.5 km.
By train or airplane:
You can either arrive at Firenze central railway station, or at Firenze, Pisa or Bologna airports. You will then have to arrange your travel by taxi or car rental. We have special arrangements set in place with some local companies that offer these services - see links on the right. |
